Electric discharge wire cutting, abbreviated as wire cutting. It developed on the basis of electrical discharge perforation and forming processing. It has not only developed the application of electrical discharge machining, but also replaced electrical discharge perforation and forming machining in some aspects. Wire cutting machines have accounted for the majority of electric discharge machine tools.
The working environment required for wire cutting:
1. Meet the spatial dimensions required by the wire cutting machine tool.
2. Choose a location that can withstand the weight of the machine tool.
3. Choose a location where there is no vibration or impact input. Wire cutting discharge machine tool is a high-precision machining equipment. If it is placed in a place with vibration and impact, it will cause serious damage to the machine, thereby seriously affecting its machining accuracy, shortening its service life, and even leading to machine scrapping.
4. Choose a place without dust and avoid crowded passages.
(1) The inherent characteristics of wire cutting discharge machines include the presence of dust in the air, which can cause severe wear and tear on the machine's screw, thereby affecting its service life.
(2) Wire cutting discharge machines are computer-controlled, and the disks used by computers have strict requirements for dust in the air. When dust enters the disk, it will be damaged and the hard disk will also be damaged.
(3) The wire cutting discharge machine itself generates a large amount of heat, so the electrical cabinet needs to be regularly ventilated. If there is too much dust in the air, it will accumulate on various electrical components during the ventilation process, causing poor heat dissipation of the electrical components and resulting in the circuit board being burned out. Therefore, the dust screen of the machine should be cleaned regularly.
5. Choose a location with minimal temperature changes and avoid direct sunlight through windows and roof glass, as well as areas close to heat flow.
(1) Products processed with high-precision parts need to be carried out at a constant temperature, usually at room temperature of 20C.
(2) Due to the significant heat generated by the wire cutting discharge machine during operation, if the temperature changes too much, it will have a serious impact on the service life of the machine.
6. Choose a shielded room: As the wire cutting discharge machining process belongs to the arc discharge process, strong electromagnetic waves will be generated during the arc discharge process, which will cause harm to human health and affect the surrounding environment.
7. Choose a well ventilated and spacious factory building so that operators and machine tools can work in the best environment.
